New Year, New Shit

I think it's safe to say that 2020 can fuck right off. The world has had to adjust to a new way of life - lockdowns, social distancing, not following public health officials, more lockdowns - it's been a year of turmoil. However there's no guarantee that 2021 is going to be any better. But that's just how it is these days. There is a phrase that is used a lot at my job - "Thrive on change." This was due to the constant changing nature of the technological ecosystem we have, and how processes need to change with these. It's been a difficult principle to take onboard, especially with the limitations of support technology to go with this. But it's a principle that doesn't have to be mastered straight away - it can also be used in real life. Dr Abraham Twerski spoke about how lobsters grow. I won't say much on it, but would encourage you to look up the video about it. I'd link it here, but....you know....laziness.

As part of the changes to 2021, the Oceanic Kents Discord is being renamed to be more inline with Interactive Agent. It's believed the name no longer reflects the community, and the intention behind those that keep it going. The name was originally a placeholder until we found a better name, but was never changed, as it became familiar to those that helped start it, and to the others that joined us in the journey. Any other resources are being transitioned, and should be completed within the month of January.

2021 will continue to bring opportunities for change - both beneficial & challenging - for our community, and the world. But if we continue to support each other, we'll all learn that little bit more about thriving on change.
